Conservation through community
Welcome to the Derwentwater Foreshore - an inspirational place visited by thousands of people each year. The Derwentwater Foreshore Project is a partnership between the site owners, users, local people and conservation organisations to restore the site, improve the long-term management and increase opportunities for visitors and locals alike.
The Derwentwater Foreshore lies at the top of the Borrowdale Valley with some of the most spectacular views in the Lake District . It's only a few minutes to walk from Keswick Town Centre, and accessible for most users (for more information about access on the foreshore click here).
