Start: Moot Hall Keswick - The blue route

Walk from the clock tower down main street, pass the Post Office on your right and continue straight ahead until you reach the mini roundabout, turn Left here and continue forward until the road forks, bear right and pass Booths Car Park and the bus station. Continue ahead until the road forks again and bear right.

Pass the Rugby Club on your right and continue along the road until you reach the point where the road takes a sharp right. Here go straight ahead and pass through a gate to enter the National Trust area of Crow Park. Turn right and follow the well defined grassy path along the edge of the park, to reach the shore of Derwentwater.

From here head for the gate at the boundary fence and join the road opposite the Theatre by the Lake. Turn right and head down towards the foreshore. Continue along the road, parallel to the water’s edge, until you enter Friar’s Crag (National Trust), continue along the well defined path until you reach the spectacular view at Friar’s Crag.
