Foreshore Volunteers

Volunteer with the Foreshore Project and make a difference to one of the most beautiful settings in the Lake District!

Volunteers are at the heart of the Foreshore Project. We have lots of opportunities to get involved with all sorts of tasks. You could:

  • Help to develop a programme of exciting events
  • Assist with the creation of new resources to help people make the enjoy their visit
  • Keep an eye on the environment by becoming a voluntary ranger, carrying out practical tasks alongside National Trust staff
  • Keep the website updated with news, events and interesting snippets of information
  • Lead a guided walk for the public, schools and community groups.

Full training for the above posts will be given.

Inspire hearts and minds…
Invest your time and enthusiasm and help spark a lifelong passion for the Lake District.

Share your skills and gain others…
Whether your skills are in conservation, marketing, events, IT or another area, why not share them? Or even gain new skills through our training programme.

Have fun…
No matter how much or how little time you have on your hands, you can get involved with activities whenever it's convenient for you. So if you fancy a mix of hard work, fun and friendship then you should think about joining us on the Foreshore!

Join in with us!
